How do I make a booking for Furballs Cattery?
If you are a new or existing client, then simply telephone us with your dates.

What do you need to know about my cat(s)?
How many, and their full history, including age & breed.
If they will share a pen or need to go separately.
Have they boarded before?
Diets and Medication.
A copy of the cat(s) current inoculation certificate.

My cat is on medication, is this going to cause a problem?
No, in most cases this is not a problem. However, we will assess each case individually and occasionally this may result in an increase of our normal charges.

Can I view Furballs Cattery?
We advise all new clients to view the cattery before the booking. You can do this either via our website or in person by appointment only between 8 and Midday Monday – Saturday.

My cat has never been in a boarding cattery before – could this be a problem?
Yes, if your cat has never been away from home before, they can become very stressed. However, to reduce this stress we recommend a ‘short/trial’ stay of a minimum of 3 days. (A reasonable amount of time before your main holiday). This will enable us to assess whether the cat is able to cope with a cattery environment.

I’m not sure of my exact holiday dates – what should I do?
Because we are an exclusive boarding cattery, space is at a premium, particularly during school holiday periods, e.g. we currently have bookings for Christmas 2018 and for as far ahead as February 2019! We, therefore, recommend you contact us with provisional dates. We will enter the dates on our booking sheets and contact you when confirmation is required, which will be approximately 8 weeks prior.

Do you offer long-term care?
Yes, we specialise in long-term bookings, due to the design of Furballs Cattery, which includes access to large run areas. 

What are your opening times?
ALL visitors, including arrivals and departures, are allocated an appointment slot between 8 am and Midday Monday to Saturday. (Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays).

Can I bring the family/friends when I visit Furballs Cattery?
We ask that a maximum of only 2 people ‘viewing’ visit at any one time. If you are bringing a cat in then we will allow only one person into the ‘boarding’ area. This is not only to ensure that we maintain a quiet and peaceful environment to all our residents. Particularly when cats are arriving, and are at their most anxious. It also ensures the security and safety of all our resident cats.
